Dear Stephen,
I went to your seminar in Western Massachusetts a few years ago. You saved my life from bartonella and lyme co-infections! Thank you! Now, my dog had a near-lethal dose of cacao nibs (theobromine poisoning) and survived, but we want to help her further get it out of her bloodstream and to reduce after-effects. Suggestions for detoxing and for healing from poison ingestion? THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Stephen’s response:
So sorry, I am not that up on what herbs dogs can take without side effects. They can take most of them but there are a few that we can take that they cannot. You might contact Mary Wulff in Montana. She does consults on herbs for pets.

It would depend on if your dog has the MDR 1 mutation.
If Lyme turns into an autoimmune disease, should I treat Lyme or autoimmune and do you have any suggestions for autoimmune disease?
Hi Stephanie,
The Buhner Healing Lyme Q & A is no longer open to new questions. My thought would be to treat both. I am healing autoimmune disease myself, and I have found that eating an anti-inflammatory diet and addressing stress/emotional symptoms to be the most effective. What is helping me is myofascial release therapy (MFR) with practitioners trained by John F. Barnes, meditation and hypnosis.
As Australian medical system doesn’t recognise Lyme or Lyme-like disease, what can a person do in terms of self-diagnosis to confirm that the symptoms are Lyme/Lyme-like disease. Thanks.
Hi Dana,
You can start by looking at a list of Lyme symptoms and seeing if you match any/many of them. Also, Stephen has written before, that if you are unsure if you have Lyme, you can always try the protocol and if it has an affect on you, you’ll know whether to continue. Hope this helps!
